PC performance bars help you spot those players in the match lobby. You don't need to have a great PC to run this, but so many people seem to want to play this game on their 2005 Dell Inspiron Laptop. However, there are many polite and very patient experienced players too. They will beat you to a pulp, bite your ear off, and then laugh with your blood dripping down their face. So some of the players are extremely experienced. Some Veterans can be a bit harsh at times. Aussies seem to love this game too, but I'm unsure of how often people host there. For less than 100 ping, usually the evenings have some US hosted games. America is all day and night only if you dont mind being at a 200 ping disadvantage. Europe has the most players with games being hosted and filled all day and night. Many only enjoy the Singleplayer portion of the game due to the vast array of mods. But at 500-1000 people online from all over the world, it can seem that only a a few games are being played. The Multiplayer community is sparse when compared to triple A title games of course. Luckily, the developer's next game is based on the exact same engine as this one, so they are very committed to working out bugs and updating. Currently there is an issue with de-syncs happening in the Multiplayer games.

Sir Hinkel's Mods for Men of War is an example of how a modder can surpass the developer in mission design. However, the things that the community have created are outstanding. The Singleplayer campaign that comes with the game is alright. Modding is really huge in this community. It's purely based around fighting 1 nations military vs anothers. Nobody is evil, nobody is humanity's greatest savior, etc. There is no propaganda tied to this game. The fact that 1 infantry man(if properly equipped) has the capability of taking out an unwary King Tiger/IS-2/Churchill/etc makes the multiplayer matches intense. There's a whole lot of depth to this game. It can be a bit complicated at first to understand, but once the concept is understood it is simple enough. Balancing your CP and MP (points you spend to buy units during a match) usage is very important. Knowledge of which units have 0 chance of countering the enemy unit also takes awhile to learn. Knowing when to direct control a unit and when you need to be looking at the battle from a macro position(looking at entire map) is something that comes from playing for awhile. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing for people, but I personally enjoy it. The Skill Cap for this game is fairly high. A molotov cocktail to the engine of a King Tiger will destroy it just as well as tracking its treads and calling an artillery strike on its position. A 20mm cannon will make short work of any infantry, no matter how expensive they are. A shot from a rifle to the head of an enemy will blow his head off. It also allows players to Directly Control a unit to finesse some maneuvers such as cooking grenades, shooting through thin walls to hit targets behind them (with tanks or AT guns), to scan with a sniper for areas without Line of Sight, etc. Hull strength on tanks and angling of shots matter due to how weapon penetration works in this game. The physics in the game is amazing with how it interacts with bullets and shells. While it is the most comparable to Company of Heroes (by Sega), it's nothing like it. Things I enjoy: As I stated earlier, this is a unique game.

Well now it's on a Steam Sale ($7) and a Free Weekend trial so you can try it out before you decide to spend money. I've been meaning to write a review of this game since I bought it, but I kept pushing it off. It's an RTS (real time strategy/tactics) genre set in World War II. So this game is fairly interesting and unique in my opinion.
